We often blame red tape and outdated systems for the inefficiencies in Pakistan’s bureaucracy — but what if the real obstacle is far more personal? What if the biggest threat to progress sits just across the desk?

This thought-provoking lecture explores the often-overlooked force of professional jealousy within bureaucratic institutions and how it quietly undermines efficiency, trust, and service delivery. From intra-organizational rivalries to subtle acts of sabotage, we examine how envy seeps into decision-making and derails collaboration.

Drawing on real-life observations and organizational behavior theory, the session also offers practical insights into building healthier institutional cultures and developing strategies to mitigate these internal conflicts.
