Gaza Genocide: A Statistical Analysis

Gaza Genocide: A Statistical Analysis

The October 7, 2023, attacks by Hamas—widely condemned as acts of terror—have been used to justify an unprecedented, livestreamed campaign of destruction against Gaza. But long before that day, Israel’s apartheid regime systematically subjected Palestinians to displacement, siege, and daily violence—atrocities largely ignored by international media.

Since October 7, this onslaught has escalated into a calculated campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide. Tens of thousands of civilians—two-thirds of them women and children—have been killed or maimed. Journalists, doctors, aid workers, and entire families have been obliterated, while ceasefire efforts are repeatedly vetoed at the UN Security Council. Even humanitarian convoys are targeted in a war that is rewriting the scale of modern atrocity.

In this session, Amjad Nazeer, anthropologist and the student of genocide, combines rigorous statistical evidence with conceptual insights to help us grasp the enormity of this crisis. By understanding the facts, we strengthen our collective resolve to uphold the promise of “never again”—not just for Gaza, but for all of humanity.
