In a country where elections are marred by manipulation, mandates are crushed and public trust in the democratic process is rapidly eroding — can politics still serve the people? Or has it become a tool of exclusion, exploitation and elite control?
This session will confront some hard truths: Why are ordinary citizens disillusioned with democracy in Pakistan? How has controlled politics given rise to hate, hopelessness and apathy? And most importantly, is there still room for a politics of hope — one that genuinely represents the people?
