From the historic launch of Sputnik in 1957 to the revolutionary Starlink network of today, satellites have transformed how we live, communicate,= and explore the world. This session takes you on a fascinating journey through the evolution of satellite technology – how these machines orbit Earth, what roles they play in communication, navigation, weather forecasting, defense, and internet connectivity, and how they continue to shape our everyday lives. Join us to discover how a single beeping sphere launched a new era of human innovation that now stretches from Earth to the edge of space.
