Mothers of the Accused: The Human Cost of an Allegation
Behind every headline and accusation, there are families whose lives are quietly shattered. This session brings together women whose sons remain imprisoned under false blasphemy charges – to share their stories of pain, resilience and endurance.
This session moves beyond legal and political debates to focus on the human toll of these accusations: the fear, stigma and silence that follow, and the strength it takes for mothers to keep hope alive. Through their voices, we reflect on what justice, compassion and humanity mean in today’s Pakistan.
The session will be moderated by Mujahid Hussain, an author and research journalist.
This session is free and open to all. Just visit the venue to attend it.
