Understanding Child Abuse Through Fiction
Child abuse remains one of the most painful and often unspoken realities of our society. Through fiction, however, difficult truths can be approached with empathy, depth and clarity. In this session, Absar Fatima – a practising psychologist and fiction writer – will read two of her short stories that explore the emotional world of vulnerable children, stories that reveal how silence, fear and misunderstanding shape their inner lives.
Following the readings, the session will open into a guided discussion and Q&A, inviting participants to reflect on child protection, mental well-being and the responsibility we all share in safeguarding innocence.
This session is free and open to all. Just visit the venue to attend it.
