Rattay Samosay follows Noni, a mute samosa vendor in a small Pakistani neighbourhood ‘Ratta’ in 2004, who lives a quiet routine life – frying, serving, and surviving the cruelty of those around him. But beneath his silence lies a dark, inherited trauma.

When a local boy goes missing and whispers spread through the streets, Noni’s tightly wound reality begins to splinter. As memories blur with hallucinations, he is pulled back into the violent past shaped by his abusive father Noora – a butcher whose brutality destroyed Noni’s childhood and led to the murder of his mother. As a child, Noni took his first and only revenge by killing his father, and that moment became the seed of everything he is now: a man shaped by violence he never chose, yet continues to carry.
In the present, everyday sounds – a radio song, a mincing machine, the clang of plates – trigger a psychological unraveling that exposes the truth hidden within Noni’s godown. What seems like a simple, ordinary street-vendor’s life slowly reveals itself as a chilling legacy of trauma, silence, and a revenge that transformed into a way of living.

A gritty psychological drama set inside the narrow alleys of old Punjab, Rattay Samosay blends realism with horror to explore violence passed down like a recipe, and a son’s silent retaliation for his mother that echoes through his adulthood.
