International Transgender Day of Visibility is a moment to recognise the lives, identities and contributions of transgender individuals, while also reflecting on the challenges they continue to face. In Pakistan, questions of recognition, protection and social acceptance remain deeply intertwined with law, policy and everyday realities.

This session will examine the progress made through legal frameworks and institutional efforts, while also addressing the gaps that persist between rights on paper and lived experience. Through conversation and reflection, the discussion aims to highlight issues of dignity, inclusion, and access, and to consider what meaningful visibility and protection should look like in Pakistani society today.
