Dynamics and Realities of International Development Financing
International development financing plays a critical role in shaping economies, reducing inequality and enabling long-term growth, but its realities are often more complex than its ideals. This session offers an insider’s perspective on how global financial institutions operate, the challenges they face and the impact they seek to create.
This conversation draws on Dr. Kaiser Naseem’s memoir, Impacting Lives, reflecting on over four decades of experience across multiple regions and institutions. Moving beyond theory, the session will explore the practical dimensions of development banking, the evolving global financial landscape and the difficult choices that define efforts to drive meaningful change.
