This interactive session brings algebra to life through elegant visual proofs that turn abstract identities into intuitive insights. By combining creativity with mathematical reasoning, the session aims to sharpen understanding, spark curiosity and help learners approach mathematics with greater confidence and clarity.

About the Speaker:

Usman Rafiq did his Bachelors from UET Lahore in 2006 in Electrical Engineering and M.Sc in Computer Engineering from UET Taxila, and M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from UCP. He is Assistant Professor in COMSATS, Lahore since 2013. He has authored a book Riyazi: Kainat ki Zubaan, published in 2022.

Dr. Naqeeb ur Rehman is a mathematician, educator, and passionate advocate of mathematical and scientific thinking. He earned his MSc and MPhil in mathematics from Quaid i Azam University Islamabad and completed his PhD in mathematics in 2016 from the University of Marburg, Germany, under the prestigious DAAD research program. He has served as a lecturer and assistant professor of mathematics at Air University, Allama Iqbal Open University, and NUMS Islamabad.

His teaching and research interests span from foundational to advanced levels, covering areas of algebra, topology, knot theory, cellular automata, artificial intelligence, and the philosophy of mathematics. An active mathematics educator and STEAM ambassador, he regularly conducts Open LUMS Math Circles, seminars, and public talks at schools, colleges, universities and The Black Hole. He also runs the OpenMathCircle and MathSciencePhilosophy Facebook page and YouTube channels, dedicated to making mathematics and science accessible, engaging, and intellectually stimulating for a wider audience.
