About the Guest Speaker:
Dr. Hasan Abbas is a physician, pulmonologist, and researcher with extensive experience in clinical medicine and healthcare leadership. He formerly served as Head of the Medical Centre and led specialist pulmonary services, combining patient care with administrative responsibilities.
He holds an M.Phil in Genetics from Quaid‑i‑Azam University, Islamabad, and has an active research portfolio in genetics and clinical medicine. Dr. Abbas has authored and co‑authored multiple articles in national and international peer‑reviewed journals, demonstrating sustained contributions to medical science.
In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Abbas is a freelance columnist and public educator. He writes regularly for leading newspapers on topics including science, health education, human rights, and gender equality, aiming to translate complex ideas for general audiences.
His multidisciplinary background in clinical practice, genetics research, health leadership, and science communication brings a broad, evidence‑based perspective to discussions on health and society.
