In History, there are major gaps between certain events, timelines, and narratives. Those are known as silences in history. This session will explore what are silences in history, and why they occur. Are they intended or unintended? How does it affect history, and how do historians and people alike confront it?
About the speaker:
Daniyal Khurshid is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in History from Quaid-i-Azam University. He is a history enthusiast. In particular, he is keen on the least talked about topics. Besides history, he is also in psychology, geography, politics, and education. He is also a frequent at The Black Hole.
