About the Moderator:

Shaji Ahmed is a seasoned technologist with over 20 years of experience designing and implementing innovative tech solutions in the public and private sectors. He played a pivotal role in developing Pakistan’s first computerized identity cards, machine-readable passports, and border-control systems while working with NADRA.

His career includes consulting for the UN and donor agencies on projects like Afghan refugee censuses and program evaluations. Currently, Shaji is the Director of Engineering at AlphaX Decision Sciences, a U.S. based AI startup. He also contributes to Code for Pakistan, offering expertise in civic tech, data analysis, and user experience design.

With a background in Computing and Visual Effects for Film, Shaji is passionate about leveraging technology for civic innovation and impactful change. He resides in Islamabad, Pakistan.
