Astronomy is often seen as a global science, but what does it mean to explore the cosmos from Pakistan’s own horizon? In this talk, Zainab Abbasi – Event Manager at PakAstronomers, amateur astronomer and passionate science communicator – shares her journey of connecting Pakistan’s youth with the universe.

With over seven years of experience in the country’s astronomy scene, Zainab has collaborated with leading organizations such as Karachi Astronomers Society, Attock Astronomy, Cosmic Tribe, the International Dark Sky Association, and Astronomers Without Borders. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Physics at NUST, she brings both academic insight and grassroots experience.

From stargazing communities to global networks, this session will explore the challenges, opportunities, and unique perspectives of pursuing astronomy in Pakistan – and why inspiring the next generation to look up at the sky is more important than ever.

This session is free and open to all. Just visit the venue to attend it.
