Book Discussion: “Pyaar ka Aakhri Shehr” (The Last City of Love)
Pyaar ka Aakhri Shehr is not just a travelogue; it is a journey through places, memories and emotions where geography blends with longing, love and reflection. With his distinctive narrative voice, Amin Kunjahi invites readers to experience cities not merely as destinations, but as living, breathing spaces shaped by human connection, loss and wonder.
In this session, we will discuss the themes, observations, and literary texture of the book – how travel becomes a lens to explore inner landscapes, cultural encounters and the quiet poetry of movement. The conversation will also reflect on Amin Kunjahi’s wider literary journey as the author of six books and the sensibility that runs through his writing.
Amin Kunjahi’s life itself embodies courage and resilience. After losing the use of his legs in an accident at the age of eleven, he refused to let physical limitations define the boundaries of his imagination or his journeys. His writing stands as a testament to the idea that travel is not only measured in miles, but in depth of perception and openness of heart.
