Book Launching: “Pebble in the Pond”
Join us for the launch of “Pebble in the Pond,” a book by Dr. Kaiser Bengali that examines the challenges and possibilities of regional development in Balochistan and Sindh.
Drawing on more than four decades of experience in academia, public policy and development planning, Dr. Bengali reflects on questions of inequality, governance, resource distribution and economic transformation, while exploring how localized interventions can create wider social and economic impact, much like a pebble creating ripples across a pond.
In conversation with Umair Javed, the session will discuss the book’s central ideas, the realities of development in historically marginalized regions, and the broader relationship between policy, economy and social justice in Pakistan. An important dialogue on regional equity, sustainable development and the future of inclusive growth.
This session is free and open to all. Just visit the venue to attend it.
