Book Talk: The Pilgrims
In the heart of Lahore, four lives intertwine with history, love and loss. The city’s monuments bear witness to their struggles, as unseen forces shape their destinies. The old relics of Lahore become a bitter reference point for Mehar. Aariz’s mind plays him to unveil the secrets of existence, from as far as the creation of man. The burden of a feudal legacy becomes brawny for Feroze, while Bina’s unattainable love is connected to the birth of her country. Friendships start to tumble, relationships are challenged by judgement. The stories of the four friends become a kaleidoscope of the region.
