On the 11th of August, we commemorate National Minorities Day, marking the anniversary of Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s historic speech in 1947. In this address, he affirmed the right of every citizen to practice their religion freely, stating, “You are free, you are free to go to your temples, and you are free to go to your mosques or to any other places of worship in this State of Pakistan.” This session will explore the significance of that speech and reflect on the commitment to diversity, equality and the rights of all citizens in Pakistan.
