Clipping HEC’s Autonomy, One Amendment at a Time

The PTI Govt rammed two amendments through the HEC Ordinance 2002 to rein in the regulator. The PDM Govt seems set to continue the tradition of clipping the autonomy of the apex higher education regulator in the country.
In this session, Dr. Tariq Banuri and Dr. Ayesha Razzaque will discuss how these amendments have already harmed the HEC and what seems to be its future if a third proposed amendment is approved by the Legislature. The session will be moderated by Dr. A.H. Nayyar.
