Economic Justice: Economic Inclusion for Women Living with Disabilities

Drawing from interviews with women living with disabilities, disability rights activists, bankers, policymakers, and parliamentarians, this session will explore a rights-based framework to safeguard their economic rights. Learn about the recommendations from this comprehensive study and engage in a dialogue aimed at encouraging inclusive economic development.
About the Speaker:
Zulqurnain Asghar is the President of Potohar Mental Health Association (PMHA) and the first practicing visually impaired psychologist in South Asia. He serves as the Vice President of the Human Rights Cell for Pakistan Peoples Party and is a life-time member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP).
With over 25 years of experience in counseling, training, and research, Zulqurnain has dedicated his career to advancing knowledge and practices in the disability sector. His expertise spans clinical psychology, inclusion, early childhood education for children with disabilities, mother-child care, and gender and development. As an enthusiastic, forward-thinking, and compassionate disability rights activist, Zulqurnain is committed to ensuring equal treatment for all individuals, regardless of disability, gender, or caste.
