About the speaker:

Dr. Sohail Iqbal is an associate professor at NUST School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, where he leads the Innovative Technologies Department. With over 17 years of experience, he holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Paris, France, and is fluent in French, English, and Urdu.

Dr. Iqbal specializes in programming, machine learning, and AI, focusing on applying mathematics to solve real-world problems in robotics and smart grid systems. He developed a tele-surgical robotic system in collaboration with Holy Family Hospital and has advanced big data analytics for smart grids, integrating renewable energy sources. Passionate about education, he actively engages in robotics workshops and debates, sharing his expertise in AI and mathematical methods.
