Fighting Thalassemia Together: Awareness, Action and Responsibility
On International Thalassaemia Day, this session highlights the realities faced by thousands of patients and families living with thalassaemia – a condition that requires lifelong care, regular blood transfusions and sustained public support.
Despite medical advances, many patients continue to struggle due to lack of awareness, social stigma and shortages of safe blood donations. Addressing this challenge requires more than hospitals and treatment; it demands collective responsibility, community engagement and a culture of voluntary blood donation.
Featuring volunteers and organizers from Blood Chain Pakistan, this conversation explores the importance of awareness, citizen-led initiatives and the power of ordinary people coming together to save lives.
This session is free and open to all. Just visit the venue to attend it.
