IT From BIT: The Science of Information

60 60 people viewed this event.

Information is at the heart of everything—from the smallest bits in computing to the vast networks shaping our digital world. But what exactly is information?

In this session, we will explore the fascinating journey of IT from BIT—how fundamental principles of numbers and information science have shaped computing, artificial intelligence and modern communication through the pioneering work of Alan Turing and Claude Shannon. In this exploration we will also discover that information isn’t just about computing and communication, it’s also woven very profoundly into the fabric of reality.
