Women working in academia in the UK face a difficult work environment including challenges such as cultural barriers, work-family responsibilities, distance from home and travel to workplace issues, lack of facilities at workplace, and lack of leadership opportunities. This interactive panel discussion brings together three prominent Pakistani women who are working at leading UK universities and have achieved success despite these challenges. They will discuss their career journeys, the enablers to their success, and the challenges that they have faced along the way. Join us to hear first-hand, real and honest accounts of their personal journeys, and how they have carved out a successful career trajectory for themselves!
