This talk will explore some of the uses of fungi in different domains of life, from culinary use to medicine. The talk will also explore how mushroom farming works, how to grow culinary and medicinal mushrooms at home, and finally survey the latest clinical research exploring the potential of fungi for revolutionizing mental health treatment.
Intro to the Speaker
Syed Ammar Mahdi is a computer science graduate from Habib University, Karachi and currently works as a technical writer. He has researched fungal intelligence for his final year thesis which studies the network topology of mycelium networks based both on simulations and real world data. He enjoys making music, reading, cooking, and working out in his free time.
