Navigating Education: Schooling, Non-Schooling, and Homeschooling

334 334 people viewed this event.

Despite concerted efforts to enroll out-of-school children in traditional education, we still struggle to achieve Universal Primary Education and fulfill the promises of Education for All. Concerns about the quality and outcomes of conventional schooling are growing, with stark disparities between public and private institutions. The development of higher-order thinking skills often remains neglected in curriculum and instruction, leading many students to seek private tutoring alongside regular school attendance. Why do parents and communities resist sending their children to school? What has eroded confidence in our educational institutions? Why are some educated parents turning to homeschooling as an alternative? Is homeschooling a viable option, and how does it compare to home tutoring? Join us as we explore these questions, uncovering the hopes and fears that shape the future of education.
