Ilhan Niaz is most recently the author of New World Empires: Cultures of Power and Governance in the Americas, and previously the author of Downfall: Lessons for our Final Century, The State During the British Raj, Old World Empires: Cultures of Power and Governance in Eurasia, The Culture of Power and Governance of Pakistan, and An Inquiry into the Culture of Power of the Subcontinent. He is a professor of history at the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, and tweets/posts @IlhanNiaz
