A Marxist thinker, human rights lawyer, scholar and founder of the Awami Tahreek party, Palijo championed the causes of social justice, land reform and the protection of the Indus River and its surrounding communities.

This session will discuss his remarkable legacy, his relentless fight for equality, his love for Sindhi language and culture and his impact on Pakistan’s progressive movements. Join us to honor the life and contributions of a true custodian of the Indus and its people.
