The Game of Life and Free Will
This talk is about the game of life devised by mathematician John Conway in 1970 as a cellular automaton, and its implications in biology, computer science, physics and philosophy (determinism vs free will).
About the speaker
Naqeeb ur Rehman is assistant professor of mathematics at AIOU, Islamabad. He did his PhD in mathematics in 2016 from Germany under DAAD research program. His mathematical interests are in algebra, topology, and cellular automata.
