In this digital era, we are faced by flooding of news opinions and conspiracy theories. Our education system does not teach the students how to analyze and evaluate the information being received before we believe it. Since 2014 it has been goal of Ms. Afshan Huma to help people in developing independent, critical and reflective thinking through using thinking tools such as mind mapping, brain storming, deep reading, reverse assumptions and value judgement.
About the speaker
Afshan Huma has doctorate in Curriculum, Instruction and Teacher Education (CITE) from Michigan State University. Currently, she is serving as Head of the Department of Educational Planning Policy Studies and Leadership at Allama Iqbal Open University.
