Behind every accusation, imprisonment or prolonged trial, there are families quietly carrying the emotional, social and financial burden of survival. In cases involving blasphemy allegations, this suffering often extends far beyond the courtroom, shaping the lives of parents, spouses and children who are left in fear, stigma, uncertainty and isolation.

This session brings together the mothers of imprisoned accused individuals to share their lived experiences: the pain of separation, the struggle for dignity and the human cost of prolonged incarceration and social ostracization. Their testimonies offer a rare and deeply personal perspective on how allegations and legal processes impact entire families, particularly those with limited power or visibility.

Moving beyond rhetoric and polarization, the discussion seeks to foreground empathy, due process, human rights, and the urgent need to listen to voices that are too often unheard.
