Among Lahore’s many architectural gems, none is more iconic—or ancient—than the Lahore Fort. Once the seat of Mughal and Sikh power and later overtaken by British colonial might, the Fort stands as a testament to the grandeur of imperial architecture.

Parvez Mahmood, born and raised in the walled city, has visited the Fort since childhood. With deep personal ties to Lahore’s history, he brings both scholarship and sentiment to this talk. A retired PAF Group Captain with an MS in Software Engineering, Parvez is also a prolific writer with nearly 200 columns in The Friday Times, focusing on history, literature and culture. His current series explores the many layers of Lahore’s past.

In this session, he will trace the story of the Lahore Fort—from its origins to its present-day legacy.

This session is free and open to all. Just visit the venue to attend it.
