Seventy-nine years after independence, Pakistan continues to grapple with profound economic, political and institutional challenges. Yet alongside these difficulties lies an equally important question: what kind of Pakistan do we want to build, and how do we get there?

On the occasion of Independence Day, The Black Hole brings together Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Sanaullah Baloch, former Senator, MNA & MPA, and Fawad Chaudhry, former Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Science & Technology, for a conversation moderated by renowned journalist, author and media trainer Azaz Syed.

The discussion will look beyond day-to-day political battles to explore some of the larger questions facing the country. What reforms are needed to strengthen democratic institutions and governance? How can Pakistan address its economic challenges and create opportunities for its growing population? What role should political parties, state institutions and citizens play in shaping a more stable and prosperous future?

The conversation will also invite the audience to participate and engage directly with the speakers through a Q&A session.
